Elizabeth Ng

Active in various parts of the community and organizations, Elizabeth is constantly looking for new and different opportunities to grow. As the fourth of five daughters in an immigrant household, she has always valued and desired the power of communication and leadership. After reading a February 2009 newspaper listing, Elizabeth decided to join Vapor Trails Toastmasters to help strengthen those skills. With Vapor Trails, she has found a fun and supportive environment in which to work on her communication and leadership goals.

Outside of Toastmasters, Elizabeth works in the biotechnology industry as a full-time Research Associate, volunteers regularly as a Patient Advocate at the UCSD Medical Center and tutors for the Laubach Literacy Program. Besides work and helping others, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with friends and family, dancing, going on adventures, and playing sports, such as soccer, fishing and roller derby.

Margaret King

Vice President Public Relations

Margaret King joined Toastmasters in 2009. After more than 20 years as a newspaper editor, she is taking some time to improve her public speaking skills. Margaret grew up in Escondido and went to college at UC Berkeley and Columbia University. She lives in Tierrasanta with her husband, Joe Guerin, a newspaper editor, and their three children. She enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and taking long walks with her dog, Casey.

Don Zatyko

President

Don joined Vapor Trails Toastmasters in March of 2010 to improve his communication and leadership skills. He plans to apply these skills to advance his professional career. A certified PMP (Project Management Professional), Don manages a cross functional team of project managers leading a wide variety of IT system, operational and compliance programs within the Health Care industry.

Outside of work, Don enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter. His hobbies include running, geocaching, photography and college football. Don has completed 32 marathons and visited the Mount Whitney summit 3 times.
