Vapor Trails Member Profiles
Jim Wilson
Jim first joined Vapor Trails Toastmasters in 2001. He has won three club contests and one area contest. In 2010 and 2011, Jim earned his Competent Leader, Advanced Competent Leader Bronze and Advance Communicator Bronze designations and completed his High Performance Leadership Project.
Due to the skills he has mastered at Toastmasters, Jim was selected as Director of Evangelization Ministries at Ascension Parish. Although the Director position has taken away a lot of time from Toastmasters, he still plans to become a Distinguished Toastmaster within four years.
Jim has been President, Vice President of Membership, Vice President of Public Relations and Sergeant at Arms. Jim believes you have not fully experienced Toastmasters until you have held a club office and have implemented positive changes and growth within the club.
When Jim is not busy giving speeches, he spends time with his three favorite brunettes, his wife Cynthia and their two very spoiled black cats. He loves to train for half marathons and spend time with his wife at the San Diego Safari Park looking at the wild cats and very tall blondes (giraffes).
